Katharine Brenton

Editorial Strategist

Ginger façade masks linguistic and cross-cultural proclivities

I bring to SE2 a passion for writing, the Spanish language, and cornmeal-based Latin American dishes (including the Mexican gordita and the Venezuelan arepa).

Before joining SE2, I covered education and immigration for The Denver Post, the Greeley Tribune, The Colorado Independent and a Spanish-language news radio station. More recently I led communications strategy for two prominent nonprofit organizations: Bright by Three and Mi Casa Resource Center.

At SE2, I’m a go-to gal for message development, copywriting and communication planning.

When not working, I’m likely to be chasing after my two young children. I also volunteer for Colorado Legal Services and Rocky Mountain Immigrant Advocacy Network as an interpreter at legal events and on immigration cases.

When it comes to communicating with me, you have options. My English is native, my Spanish is fluent, my German is passable and, after a pilsner or two, I might even get chatty in Czech.
