Principal

When I’m not at the office, you can find me…

At home with my family, including three big dogs (Taos,  Zoomie, Sneaker). I love my family and friend time, it really fills my soul.

What issues impacting our community today really get you fired up, and why?

Everything is changing in our world, somethings for better others for worse. Whatever we face, I am passionate for lifting up the voices of those who are most impacted by said change. I get excited to support individuals and organizations that are inspiring change at SE2 and to make more lasting impact in this world.

Which SE2 value resonates most with you?

Working with purpose. My career has gone from broadcasting to politics and now marketing, all throughout the common denominator is community. I have had the absolute privilege of learning so much from our community, and I am inspired by their purpose. That is why I believe working with purpose brings out the best in me.

“Dime con quien andas y te dire quien eres” is a Spanish proverb, which means, “tell me who you spend time with and I can tell you who you are.” To me it says surround yourself with amazing and inspiring people and you will be an amazing and inspiring person.

Coming from Spanish Broadcasting

In 1997 I started my career in broadcasting as an unpaid intern working the street and promotional events for the most popular Spanish radio station. This was my first experience in how you can change people’s lives and make their day. Whether it is filling balloons for kids, working large events for Cinco de Mayo those moments mean a lot to people who want to connect.

After many years in radio I moved on and worked in TV at CBS4 and Denver’s 7 and launching Azteca America Colorado a Spanish language network. From working the floor, running the teleprompter and creating community projects to inspire our viewers I was moved everyday about the impacts we were making and how amazing  and resilient Colorado residents are.

Following that I leveled up my community service and jumped into politics and policy. I started my own public affairs company called PowerMap that focuses on strategic influence mapping to get good things done. Now as a owner and partner at SE2, and PowerMap becoming a part of the future of SE2, I am excited about systemizing community outreach and continuing to center our work in community.

Let’s collaborate!
