Heather Link-Bergman

ACCOUNT DIRECTOR

What issue that SE2 works on gets you really fired up?

I am really passionate about contemporary art. I see art as a powerful tool to address contemporary issues and a catalyst for conversion and change. Additionally, I get fired up about the need for greater inclusion and more equitable opportunities for all — in both fine art spaces and beyond.

What SE2 value most resonates with you and why?

Curiosity and resourcefulness! If you’re not learning, you’re not living.

When I’m not in the office, you can find me…

Getting inky in my studio, riding my bike, striking a yoga pose, tending my garden, collecting vinyl or getting lost in a book.

“Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?”

– Mary Oliver

Taking the art of account direction to a whole new level.

When most people find out that I have a fine art background but am not on the creative side of the business, they’re usually pretty surprised. But I have always felt my most creative when I am asking questions and delving into issues in depth and detail. Which is why I love working with our clients as a thought-partner to understand their needs, challenges and issues from all angles.

I got my first taste of mission-driven marketing early in my career, when I landed a freelance gig with Mile High United Way. Not only did I love the mission but, more profoundly, I had stumbled upon something that spoke to me and pushed me to explore how I could be doing more to — cliché as it sounds — make the world a better place.

Soon after, I joined the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) leading communications for Colorado’s first retail marijuana public information campaigns. While at CDPHE, I was lucky to work on a wide variety of other public health issues including chronic disease prevention, oral health, health care access and school-based, sexual and women’s health services.

At SE2, I love how each day offers me the opportunity to help our clients by providing the time, space and tools they need to share their ideas, express their creativity and work together to make the world a little bit better.
