Alvina Vasquez

Principal

Alvina Vasquez is a seasoned public affairs and community engagement leader with more than two decades of experience building influential partnerships, shaping public narratives, and advancing initiatives that strengthen Colorado communities. As Principal at SE2, she leads high-level engagement strategy that ensures campaigns are not simply delivered to communities, but built with them.

Her expertise spans public relations, coalition building, political strategy, and Spanish-language media. Throughout her career, Alvina has worked within advocacy organizations and statewide campaigns, serving in senior communications and political leadership roles, including as Political Director for Governor Jared Polis’s successful 2018 campaign. She has also held executive communications positions within prominent public affairs firms and advocacy coalitions, guiding strategy development, media relations, and stakeholder engagement across complex policy landscapes.

Alvina began her career in Spanish-language and general-market broadcasting, where she built deep expertise in community outreach and culturally fluent communication. That foundation continues to inform her approach: relationships come first, trust is earned, and strategy must reflect lived experience.

Her leadership has been recognized statewide. Alvina was named to the Denver Business Journal’s 40 Under 40, honoring her impact in advancing equity-centered civic and community leadership. She has served on nonprofit boards, including Colorado Steppin’ Out for Kids, and has remained actively engaged in initiatives focused on youth development, education, and civic participation.

Most recently, she was appointed to serve on Colorado’s Supreme Court Nominating Commission, where she plays a critical role in evaluating and recommending candidates for the state’s highest court. This appointment reflects the trust placed in her judgment, integrity, and commitment to strengthening Colorado’s institutions.

Alvina holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Regis University and a certificate in Intercultural and Diversity Studies from Cornell University. At SE2, she brings strategic discipline, cultural fluency, and a deep belief that durable change happens when communities are centered in decision-making.
